Flower Child Style

Call it what you will, Hippie, Gypsy, Bohemian, even Trendy,  but the simplicity of stacking charm bangles fully embraces a timeless fashion style. One I absolutely love. What I don’t love is wearing the same thing everyone else has. The generic sayings charms that everyone can find at the mall. And the new charms we just got in, freshly laser etched and added to our Stainless Steel adjustable bangles, paired with complementing accent charms are not going to be found in any mall, anywhere.

There are so many more in our Etsy shop, and we just opened a 2nd shop on Artfire our “Showcase Bangle Shop”.

Here’s What’s Kraken

You either are a fan of the Kraken or you’re not.

I happen to be a fan. In every form, from a framed poster in my studio, to the jealously I have for my best friends ring ( a Kraken hold a huge pearl!)

I find the mystery and fork lure appealing. The art, flare, and over all variety, this “theme” has.

I know I’m not alone in this.

So in preparation for the holiday’s Ive added some new Kraken Cameo Cuff Bracelets.

I took my time with choosing just the right settings for these handmade cameos, and I couldn’t be happier.

and of course a Gift Box!

Its Not Just A Box

Packaging has always been very important to me.

It is an extension of me, what I made, and what you’re buying.

I wanted the boxes for my bangles to be simple, yet reflect the “look” I want for JerseyGypsy

(I find I am Burlap, Lace, and Kraft Paper)

But I also believe the box wants to be more. That it can speak volumes even before its opens.

And this is why I create custom labels.

Like this “Gypsy Soul” quote the label came even before the finished bracelet.

Even our wedding party gifting has a simple, yet elegant label to reflect the what and why.

Looking forward to Fall but not yet ready to let go of Summer

I know I should be creating for fall, and I am in a way.

But today, well Im not yet ready to let go of summer.

Even though its cool(er) and damp today, no sun, and pouring rain it is after all only August!

And this Jersey Girl is putting together bangles…

Hopefully these will be in my etsy shop by the end of the week, for now made to oder on my facebook page.

Im doing these very limited options and amounts in Stainless Steel for $20.00

Im hoping Ill make and list more than I keep! 🙂

Finally Feels Like Summer

We hit the water to go paddling yesterday, and it finally felt like summer as sweat rolled down my back, and the sun stung my shoulders. Paddling Ole Redd on Cedar Creek.

The water rolled fast, after all weve had a lot of rain, and it was the first time in a long time I found I really had to work to control the canoe. Never mind that my husband sits in the back relaxing and not working much at it at all, and the 5 year old leans over the side splashing the water.

Crowds of people were out enough where I swear we could have all linked up and reached from one end of Double Trouble Park to the other. I know its wrong but I wish no one to be out when we go, the inexperience of so many blocking up the turns, and making us have to fight back rushing into them as we approach, or the beer drinking good timers who think they own the place.

I just want to creep along slowly taking in the breeze, and the scent of Water Lilies so heavy in the air. I want to enjoy the sun and the lush greenery that’s so grow over the creek this time of year that in some places it falls like curtains.

I added a lil funny to Ole Redd since out last time…

I guess if nothing else its funny to me, I do after all “get the joke”.

So love that at the end I ran in to an old friend as well, so funny to think she was just behind us the whole time paddling.

Oh So Charming

Mondays get a bad wrap, but I get it I hate them too ending the weekend and all.

But this Monday was refreshing. A new week was starting and I had an awful week last week.

Its looking good so far, as the mail brought a ton of new supplies in and I was able to finish up a few bangles Ive had on the back burner.

These have flown off my hands but I had ordered enough thankfully to put 2 up on etsy

And I finally finished a full collection

Our Stainless Steel Wanderlust Collection, this is a favorite of mine

this and so much more this week, a new week and new start!

So often when I talk of the places I want to see, to travel to. People always ask “why?”

Why there? I can never answer to their satisfaction.

How do you describe a feeling, a longing, a need?

Maybe their question is stemmed more from my choice of places?

Salem, Massachusetts

Niagara Falls

Deadwood South Dakota

Mount Rushmore National Park

New Mexico

and my number one place, top of my list, a bucket list must…

Redwood National Forest CA.

Now of course this is merely just a few of the places I wish to travel to.

I guess it seems a bit odd, rather random. And why not Pairs or Italy, like so many other people speak of wanting to see.

Again, I cant explain. Perhaps, I wish to travel, yet stay close to home. Or that I feel there is no need to go so far away when there’s so much here to see (same difference really right?). I guess any number of reasons could be given for “why”.

But…I wish to travel to these places by car, towing a small camper. A camper that I was able to get for next to nothing and took years resorting. And to stop and see all I can see along the way. I want to take my time, and stop often. I want for it to be a journey and not a trip.

Now I sit and wait for my other wanderlust charms to arrive, an old tin can camper, a take joy in the journey, a “camping” sign, ect ect ect…
